Road Transport Resilience in the Caribbean (CDB)

The project developed comprehensive road transport sector resilience profiles for 16 Caribbean island states (SIDSs). It utilized a Climate Resilience Index (CRI) to outline potential road infrastructure investment pathways for each member country.

Key Contributions:

  • Tool Development: Led the review and update of the questionnaire used for regional road sector resilience assessments.
  • Risk Hotspot Database Design: Designed Road risk hotspot registration forms and databases for the member countries.
  • Cluster Analysis: Conducted analysis for grouping CDB’s borrowing member countries (BMCs) to determine common resilience pathways.

Outcomes & Impact:

  • Outlined potential pathways for the development of Climate Resilience Investment Plans for each state.
  • Established a standardized methodology for integrating climate resilience into the Caribbean Road sector.
